Purpose

To provide guidelines for establishing student organizations and clubs.


Policy

All would-be student clubs and organizations are required to seek approval to organize from the vice president for Student Services. Application forms and standards for the creation of student clubs and organizations are on file in the office of the vice president for Student Services. Clubs or organizations making application are required to submit a statement of purpose to specify criteria for membership, and outline rules of procedure for selection of members.

Criteria for selection of membership must be consistent with the purpose(s) of the club. Any student may apply for membership in any recognized club or organization and may be accepted for membership if the criteria established is met. No applicant shall be denied membership because of race, sex, creed or national origin. Students interested in joining a club should contact the club president, club advisor, or the vice president for Student Services. 08/12; 05/16
