HITC 2020 - Applications in Healthcare Information Systems

This course provides an overview of the use of automated information systems in the healthcare delivery system and its various settings. Students will be introduced to the terminology and essential concepts of health information systems and the privacy/security issues which affect access to and the use of patient information. Prerequisite(s): INFS 1010. Corequisite(s): HITC 2021. S. (T)
2 hours lecture/2 hours laboratory per week
