SWRK 1020 - Professional Values and Ethics

This is an introductory course examining the personal, professional and social values related to social work as well as covering the skills necessary for making ethical decisions in the social work field.  Social work core professional values, principles, and ethical standards will be examined in depth as the basis for understanding ethical issues and possible resolutions as well as outcomes in social work practice.  Some of the issues that will be covered include developing and maintaining boundaries, malpractice risk, and liability.
