Students planning on transferring to a four-year college/university should determine as soon as possible the type of agriculture degree desired at the baccalaureate level. The courses listed below provide the student with core and prerequisite subject areas necessary to enroll in upper division courses in agriculture at senior institutions with degree programs in:

Agricultural Education
Animal Science
Food and Agricultural Business

Food Science and Technology
Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries
Plant and Soil Science
 

Degree: Associate of Science

Emphasis: Agriculture

General Education Requirements (41 hours)


Humanities and/or Fine Arts (9 hours)


Behavioral/Social Sciences (6 hours)


Approved Behavioral/Social Science electives1 6 credits

Total Credit Hours 60


1 General Education electives in each category must be chosen from approved courses listed in the General Education Program .

2 Students should consult a faculty advisor to determine appropriate course selections transferable to specific institutions.
