Purpose
The Intellectual Property Advisory Committee shall advise the president in matters relating to intellectual property as defined in TBR Policy 5:01:06:00 and WSCC Policy 06:14:00, according to the procedures established therein. The committee shall be composed of faculty, staff, and other persons experienced in intellectual property matters, and will evaluate the ownership, patentability, and/or commercial potential of inventions or copyrightable works. The committee shall make recommendations to the president as to the ownership of intellectual property and the feasibility of patent protection or commercialization opportunities. The committee may conduct investigations as it deems necessary in the preparation of its recommendations to the president.
The Intellectual Property Advisory Committee shall meet as needed.
