Purpose

The Walters State Sevier County Development Council serves as a resource for promoting the development of the Sevier County Campus by making recommendations through the college President to the Walters State Foundation with respect to the utilization of unrestricted foundation funds earmarked for use in Sevier County and to the President of Walters State with respect to the strategic priorities of the Sevier County Campus and the development of Walters State’s presence in the county. The development council, created by a resolution of the Walters State Foundation, operates under the auspices of the foundation.

Walters State Sevier County Development Council shall meet as needed.

Membership

The Walters State Sevier County Development Council is composed of the trustees of the Walters State Community College Foundation who live and/or work in Sevier County and other community leaders who are jointly appointed by the President of the Walters State Foundation and the President of Walters State Community College.

Ex Officio:

Ex Officio members of the development council are the Sevier County Executives and the mayors and city administrators of all Sevier County incorporated municipalities.
