Students planning to pursue an academic program in engineering technology may take the first two years of study as directed by an engineering technology advisor. Students should be fully aware of the institution to which they wish to transfer, the precise concentration or option they wish to pursue at the 4-year institution and any pertinent articulation agreements. Students must follow the direction of their advisor precisely or risk having some of their credits not accepted in transfer.

This program is designed for the student who does intend to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program.

Degree: Associate Science

Emphasis: Engineering Technology

Recommended Full-Time Schedule

The following Recommended Full-Time Schedule is not a substitute for academic advising. You must meet with an academic advisor each semester to be cleared for registration. Consult with your advisor about scheduling and degree requirements. Also, see the current undergraduate catalog (catalog.ws.edu) for a complete list of requirements and electives. Requirements are continually under revision, and there is no guarantee they will not be changed or revoked. Contact the academic division or department for current information.

Factors that affect your progression include required Learning Support courses and your choices regarding campus location, course delivery method, and the days and times selected to take classes.

1General Education electives in each category must be chosen from approved courses listed in the General Education Program.

2Students should consult a faculty advisor to determine appropriate course selections transferable to specific institutions. Technical electives listed in Group A and Group B reflect requirements specified in existing articulation agreements for specific concentrations/options.

3Substituted courses must be approved by the department head of Engineering Technology and the dean of Technical Education.

Learning Support courses must be taken every semester until completed.
