Computer Information Technology - Programming

The Programming concentration will prepare students for a career as a programmer or software engineer. Emphasis is placed on object-oriented programming concepts, database design and management, and web development frameworks. Students will also develop strong critical thinking skills and learn by implementing real-world software solutions.

This program is designed for either a student who does not intend to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program (Option A) OR a student who intends to transfer to ETSU in the Computing/Information Technology concentration (Option B).

The following Recommended Full-Time Schedule is not a substitute for academic advising. You must meet with an academic adviser each semester to be cleared for registration. Factors that affect your progression include required Learning Support courses, your choices regarding campus location, course delivery method, and the days and times selected to take classes.

1General Education electives in each category must be chosen from approved courses listed in the General Education Program .

Learning Support courses must be taken every semester until completed.
