This course is designed to give students an introduction to Information Security. The focus will be on critical defensive technologies that are the foundation of securing both information and hardware resources. Topics include history of information security, major classes of threats, basic terminology and concepts, best practices in information security and implementing real world security technology. Prerequisite(s): CPSC 2820, CPSC 2821 As required 2 hours lecture / 2 hours laboratory
