11:01:00 Academic Affairs Committee


Revision Responsibility: Executive Council
Responsible Executive Office: Vice President for Academic Affairs                           

Purpose

The Academic Affairs Committee shall have the responsibility for all matters pertaining to curriculum, academic standards, academic planning, policies, and procedures. This committee serves as the overseer of performance funding. The Academic Affairs Committee will make recommendations to the president through the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Academic Affairs Committee shall meet as needed.


Membership

Vice President for Academic Affairs, Chair
All Division Deans
Chair of the Curriculum Subcommittee
Faculty Senate President
One faculty member from each division elected by the division
Two students designated by the Vice President for Student Services
Dean of Student Records

Ex Officio:

Assistant Vice President of Student Services & Director of Multicultural Engagement/Counselor
Dean of Distance Education
Dean of Library Services
Dean of Student Records
Director of Athletics
Vice President for Student Services

Academic Affairs Subcommittees:

Subcommittees are established by the Academic Affairs Committee. Members of the subcommittees will be appointed by the Academic Affairs Committee or elected by faculty at large as appropriate. The subcommittees will make recommendations directly to the Academic Affairs Committee. These subcommittees are:

  • Curriculum Subcommittee
  • Teaching/Learning Technology Subcommittee
