11:48:00 Walters State Alumni Council

Purpose

The Walters State Alumni Council exists as a mechanism for promoting and facilitating communication between the college administration and the Walters State Community Alumni Association and for promoting and facilitating communication and coordination among the alumni clubs, which make up the association federation.  The Alumni Council annually selects the college’s Outstanding Alumni Club Award recipient but exercises no authority over the association or its constituent clubs.

Walters State Alumni Council shall meet as needed.


Membership

The President, or in his absence, the Vice President for Business & Finance and Treasurer of the Walters State Foundation, presides at meetings of the Alumni Council.  The council is composed of one representative from each of the alumni clubs, which holds an approved charter in good standing, and the sponsor of each of the alumni clubs.  Alumni club representatives to the Alumni Council may be selected by any means adopted by each Alumni Club consistent with the mission and philosophy of the college and Alumni Association.
