PHAR 1010 - Introduction to Pharmacy Technician Practice

This course is an introduction to the practice of pharmacy in the institutional and community pharmacies with emphasis on the responsibilities of the pharmacy technician. Topics include Top 200 drugs, prescription orders (interpretation and dispensing), legal and ethical aspects of support personnel, an overview of the healthcare system, utilization of research materials and computers, and drug distribution and control.
