GEOL 1051 - Historical Geology Lab0 credit(s)
The study of the Earth’s physical and biological changes occurring during Earth’s 4.5-billion-year history, as interpreted from the rock and fossil record. Topics include an introduction to fossils, geologic, biologic, and radiometric dating principles, ancient environments, stratigraphy, and a review of major geological events of Earth’s past. This course allows hands on, experimentation and/or field work that accompanies the lecture course. Corequisite(s): GEOL 1050 As Needed. 3 hours laboratory
