MLAB 2403 - Clinical Microbiology4 credit(s)
This course examines the study of microorganisms of medical importance as it relates to man and disease. The course includes discussions of proper collection, handling and examination of specimens, staining and culture techniques, identification methods, drug sensitivity testing, and quality control procedures. Prerequisite(s): Program Restriction-Enrollment limited to students admitted to the MLT program; MLAB 1301. Corequisite(s): MLAB 2130; MLAB 2202; MLAB 2201; MLAB 2402 F. (NIT). 3 hrs lecture/wk and 30 hrs lab/semester.
