The Walters State Community College Clean Energy Technology Program is designed for students who want to enter the job market in the growing energy field. The focus of this program is to prepare individuals for entry-level work in the clean energy industry (wind and solar installers), as well as careers in manufacturing (energy auditors and managers), facilities management, HVAC contractors, and conventional energy production and distribution. Skills taught are applicable in all these areas. The program includes embedded technical certificates in either electrical, building, or transportation areas. Students who graduate with this degree will have skills which are particularly attractive to industries that emphasize energy efficiency and the reduction of waste streams in their operation.
