Central processing is an area of healthcare that supplies the operating room with sterile instruments and supplies. This step of the healthcare process is crucial for patient care, advocacy, and prevention of further illness and disease. The hospitals in the Middle and East Tennessee area have voiced concern over the lack of qualified applicants to fill these roles.
