Recommended Full-Time Schedule
The following Recommended Full-Time Schedule is not a substitute for academic advising. You must meet with an academic advisor each semester to be cleared for registration. Consult with your advisor about scheduling and degree requirements. Also, see the current undergraduate catalog (catalog.ws.edu) for a complete list of requirements and electives. Requirements are continually under revision, and there is no guarantee they will not be changed or revoked. Contact the academic division or department for current information.
Factors that affect your progression include required Learning Support courses, your choices regarding campus location, course delivery method, and the days and times selected to take classes.
1General Education electives in each category must be chosen from approved courses listed in the General Education Program .
2Students who select the Biology TTP with the intention to concentrate in pre-med or other pre-health related fields at the university are strongly recommended to take Introduction to Psychology and Introduction to Sociology.
3 Students transferring to the UTK need an additional writing intensive communication course (see UTK’s website for a list of approved courses). Students transferring to UTK must also complete a sequence of non-U.S. history.
4 Students transferring to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville must take Calculus II Students transferring to ETSU, TTU, UTC, UTM, and UTS should take MATH 1530 Introductory Statistics. Students transferring to APSU, MTSU, UOM, UTK should take MATH 1910: Calculus I. Students transferring to TSU should take MATH 1720 or higher.
5 Students transferring to UTK should take MATH 1920: Calculus II. Students trans ferring to ETSU should take MATH 1910: Calculus I. Students transferring to TTU or UTC should take MATH 1130: College Algebra or MATH 1710: Pre-Calculus Algebra. Students transferring to any other institution should contact an advisor to determine the appropriate elective.
Learning Support courses must be taken every semester until completed.
