Health Sciences

This program of study is for students planning to continue their education to by earning a bachelor’s degree in health sciences-related fields. The Associate of Science degree with an emphasis in Health Sciences recognizes students’ academic accomplishment and should simplify the transfer of credit process at future institutions. This program is also suitable for individuals who plan to apply to Walters State’s Associate of Applied Science Physical Therapist Assistant, Nursing, Occupational Therapist Assistant, Respiratory Care or Surgical Technology programs.

This program is designed for the student who does intend to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program.

Degree: Associate of Science

Emphasis: Health Sciences - Nursing Path, OTA Path, PTA Path, Respiratory Care Path, or Surg Tech Path.

The following Recommended Full-Time Schedule is not a substitute for academic advising. You must meet with an academic advisor each semester to be cleared for registration. Factors that affect your progression include required Learning Support courses, your choices regarding campus location, course delivery method, and the days and times selected to take classes.

2Students should consult a faculty advisor to determine appropriate course selections for WSCC programs or transferable to specific institutions.

Learning Support courses must be taken every semester until completed.
