The Culinary Arts technical certificate is designed to provide fundamental skills in food preparation, cooking and baking. Employment is broadly available for people with creativity, imagination and the willingness to work. The coursework completed for the technical certificate will apply to the Associate of Applied Science degree in Culinary Arts. (Accredited by the Accrediting Commission of the American Culinary Federation Foundation.)
This program is designed for the student who does not intend to transfer to a baccalaureate degree program.

Total Credit Hours 28
The criteria for acceptance in the culinary technical certificate program will include the student be accepted by a host business for training in the area of emphasis and a signed agreement to be on file. This internship/externship training is to span two semesters (525 contact hours) at the host facility with documented work experience. Total Spring Semester 14-15
